FPS Event Attendance Release - January 29, 2021
Effective February 1, 2021
Fargo Public Schools (FPS) will return to a more traditional manner of spectator attendance at student activities as the state moves to a lower risk level. The change will be effective February 1. This follows the January 27 announcement from North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum that lowers the state risk level from moderate to low.
Fargo Public Schools will begin traditional ticket sales at the door for a majority of events. Vouchers will only be issued for events at facilities where capacity concerns may arise. For those events, FPS will communicate information with both schools so that students, families, and fans may be notified. FPS has established and will strictly follow capacity limits for each event venue. Capacity limits can be found in the full press release link.
Fargo Public Schools welcome students, staff, families, and fans that will follow these guidelines and support FPS in preventing the spread of COVID-19. All spectators attending events must:
- Wear a mask that covers both the nose and mouth
- Social distance from other individuals outside of their family or pod whenever possible
- Practice good hand hygiene
- Avoid gathering before, during, or after an event
When possible, home varsity athletic contests will be livestreamed through FPS YouTube channels. Links to those contests will be found on the rSchoolToday activities schedules and the FPS Student Activities - Live Streaming webpage.
