How long have you been a police officer?
I have been Fargo Police Officer for 26 years.

How long have you been a Cultural Liaison Officer?
I started my position as Cultural Liaison Officer in late August 2016.

Why did you become an CLO?
I applied for the Cultural Liaison Officer position to expand my knowledge of various cultures. I wanted to serve my community in a new way. Also, I wanted a new challenge - and I found one! Today the country is divisded and diversity is a hot topic. I am working to help all people succeed in life.

What is your training and Education?
I have a Management degree from St. John’s University.  I am a graduate of the North Dakota Police Academy.  I have been a Firearms Instructor, a Defensive Tactics Instructor, a Field Training Officer, a Police Training Officer, and have experience as a Narcotics Investigator as a Task Force Officer with the Drug Enforcement Administration. My education has never stopped, although these days I am mostly self-taught on subjects that interest me. Right now I am learning the Nepali language.

    What are your off-duty interests?
When not in uniform, I enjoy motorcycling, hunting, fishing, and spending time with my family.
