How long have you been a police officer?
I have been a police officer for eight years and I have spent the majority of my career working the night shift.

How long have you been a School Resource Officer?
This is my second year as an SRO.

Why did you become an SRO?
I wanted to have the opportunity to be a positive role model for young adults.  I also wanted to build positive relationships with students and teach them police officers are there to keep them safe and help them in a time of need.

What is your training and Education?
I have a Bachelor of Science degree from Minnesota State University Moorhead in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations.  In the summer of 2009 I attended the Lake Region Summer Police Academy in Fargo.  I am currently a Training Officer, Crisis Intervention Team member, and on the Bike Patrol for the Fargo Police Department.

    What are your off-duty interests?
When I’m not at work I spend the majority of time with my wife and two kids.  I enjoy playing and watching a variety of sports.  When it comes to cheering for teams I’m a homer, and I cheer for the Twins, Vikings, Timberwolves, Gophers, and the Dragons.
