SRO Project Overview

The School Resource Officers (SROs) assigned to the Fargo Public Schools (FPS) have created and/or implemented numerous programs in our District designed to improve school and personal safety and security, safeguard personal property, and foster positive connections between students and police officers.

Some of the more recent SRO projects include Smart Choices, Bright Futures, a fifth grade positive health behaviors course taught at all Fargo Public Schools elementary schools; Cass Clay Unified School Response, a unified emergency response and interagency collaboration protocol; Text-A-Tip, an anonymous crime reporting hotline; and others. Several of the FPS SRO projects have been included in professional journals, resulting in inquiries from SRO teams from across the country interested in starting their own similar projects.

For more information on each of these projects, access the individual project links posted to the left.
