How long have you been a police officer?

I have been with the Fargo Police Department for 8 years.

Why did you become an SRO?

I am entering my second year as an SRO. In 2021, I was a part of the department’s community engagement team and part of that role was being a sub for the SRO’s. I subbed at various schools and had many positive interactions with both the students and the staff. I then became a long-term sub at Discovery Middle School at the end of the 2021 school year. I built great relationships with the students and enjoyed working with the staff and the administrative team. I find the position very rewarding and positive.

What is your training and education?

I graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2013 with my bachelor’s degree. I attended academy at Northland College in 2015. I have taken SRO basic in 2020 and recently attended SRO advanced in summer of 2023.
