How long have you been a police officer?
I have been a Fargo Police Officer since 2016.
Why did you become an SRO?
I chose to become an SRO because I truly feel it is the best role where I can have the most positive impact on youth. I have seen the results that come from investing in kids, and my goal is to be an encouraging voice for them. I want to be a mentor that can both help shape and guide youth to prepare them for their future.
What is your training and education?
I was born and raised in Oakdale, MN. After high school I joined the Air National Guard and I am currently a First Sergeant in the Security Forces squadron. I was previously selected as a Phoenix Raven and during my time in that position, I completed three deployments in the Middle East. At the Police department I hold a variety of secondary assignments in SWAT Crisis Negotiation, Field Training, Motorcycle and Bike Officer, Crowd Management, and Peer Support Team. I am also currently a full-time student at Minnesota State University Moorhead, studying Project Management.
