How long have you been a police officer?
I started with the Fargo Police Department in January of 2017.
Why did you become an SRO?
I became a School Resource Officer because of my strong commitment to community service especially our younger population. I have a love of learning and instructing. Those strengths coupled with my life experience and training set me up for success as an SRO.
What is your training and education?
I graduated from South High School in 2002. I attended MSUM and earned a bachelor’s degree in biology
with emphasis in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. I completed my ND Post requirement withg the Lake
Region Academy in Fargo.
I started as a Patrol Officer and eventually became a Police Training Officer (PTO) with the Fargo Police Department. My training includes Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) de-escalation techniques, resilience and post traumatic growth (PTG) instruction.
