Fargo Public Schools offers Gifted Services for students in grades 6 through 8. These services include:
- Cluster Grouping. The practice of identifying a small group of academically talented or intellectually gifted students at a grade level and placing them on the same team with teachers who have been trained to differentiate curriculum and instruction.
- Regrouping for Mathematics. Students who are gifted or academically talented in mathematics are grouped with similarly high ability math students for one period each day in grades 6, 7 and 8. These regrouped courses run the length of the school year. Students who qualify for these courses generally take Advanced Math in grade 6, Algebra I in grade 7 and Geometry in grade 8. Starting with Algebra I and beyond, transcripted high school credit is given.
