Discovery Middle School
The Fargo Public Schools will hold the 2017 State of the Schools Address & Public Focus Group on Thursday, November 2 from 6:00 to 8:15 p.m. at Discovery Middle School, 1717 40th Avenue South, Fargo. Superintendent Dr. Jeff Schatz will preside over the State of the Schools Address in the school auditorium. After the address, participants will break out into small groups for discussion. The goal is to gather community feedback as the District sets the course for the future of Fargo Public Schools and the education it provides students.
Participants who have preregistered for the event will be receiving reading materials via mail in advance of November 2. Materials include:
- Participant Document #1: Fargo Public Schools Annual Report 2016-17 – This report will provide background information about the district.
- Participant Document #2: Public Focus Group Process – This booklet contains additional information about the school district and the questions that will be used to facilitate discussions.
- Participant Document #3: North Dakota Career & Technical Education brochure – This brochure will provide additional information regarding Career & Technical Education programming, which will be a topic covered during the State of the Schools Address.
