SAEBRS/mySAEBRS

The Fargo Public School District (FPS) is committed to supporting every student’s academic and social-emotional growth. Our goal is for all students to develop the skills needed to work toward their goals, persevere through challenges, manage emotions, build positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.

To support students in developing these skills, schools may gather information to better understand each student’s strengths and needs. In addition to assessment tools for reading and mathematics, FPS utilizes the SAEBRS/mySAEBRS screener, with questions that focus on three important areas of student behavior: social, academic, and emotional. Together, these areas help us understand how students are doing and how we can best support their success. The mySAEBRS is a screening tool and is not used to diagnose students or determine eligibility for services.

The mySAEBRS is an optional student self-report screener consisting of 20 questions that takes approximately five minutes to complete. Students rate themselves using the response options Never, Sometimes, Often, or Almost Always. Only students in grades 3-5 have the option to complete the assessment. Participation is voluntary and your student may decline to participate. There is no penalty for students who do not complete the survey.
