Family Engagement
Dear Parents,
Fargo Public Schools currently serves over 1,900 students through the special education program. We have over 140 service providers to include teachers, speech/language pathologists, occupational and physical therapists, and school psychologists. As our city continues to expand, our district continues to grow as well. We have 16 elementary buildings, 3 middle schools and 4 high schools within our district boundaries.
Navigating through the special education process can be a daunting experience. Fargo Public Schools wants to support families through the process of educating children with disabilities. Contained within this webpage you will find links for quarterly Special Education Parent Advisory Committee meetings, parent education regarding the IEP process, and community connections.

We want your feedback!
Meaningful family participation is a very important part of the Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act (IDEA). A collaborative team is needed to create an Individualized Education Program (IEP) that provides students with disabilities with an appropriate education. You, as family members, are a valuable member and we want to know about your experience as an IEP team member. Please consider taking this short survey (10 rating scale and 2 open ended). Your responses are collected by Data Driven Enterprises and only provides the district with an average rating for each question. We use this information in planning our professional development for school leaders and teachers. You may fill out only one survey per child with an IEP. The link is only valid for Fargo Public Schools families Click Here to start the survey.
