Work-Based Learning
Work-Based Learning Definition:
Work-based learning (WBL) is a school-coordinated, coherent sequence of workplace experiences related to students' career goals and/or interests, based on instructional preparation, and conducted in partnership with local businesses, industries, or other community organizations. WBL enables students to apply classroom instruction in a real-world business or service-oriented work environment.
A Tiered Approach:
We recognize that work-based learning is an ongoing instructional strategy that connects the classroom to the world of work. The three tiers of WBL are:

- Career Awareness (all students)
- Career Exploration (some students)
- Career Preparation (select students)
