Critical Thinking

Critical thinking means being open to new ideas, thinking through problems purposely, not being afraid to ask questions or disagree with others. It involves listening to different perspectives and using evidence to support your thinking. Critical thinkers work towards understanding.

Respect

Respect means treating others with kindness and compassion in every situation. It includes listening to and understanding different perspectives, being honest, and giving and receiving feedback in a positive manner. Respectful people value others’ time and effort and show appreciation for what others contribute.

Accountability

Accountability means showing up, managing your time, and taking responsibility for your actions. It involves giving your best effort, understanding your strengths and areas for potential growth, and following through on what you commit to. Being accountable also means owning your mistakes and accepting consequences while committing to learning from them.

Communication

Communication means sharing your thoughts and ideas clearly while also listening to others. It includes both what you say and how you say it, such as your tone, body language, and eye contact. Good communication is active and involves speaking up, expressing opinions, and engaging with others in a meaningful way.

Leadership

Leadership means caring about others, working together, and building trust within a group. It involves understanding different perspectives, showing empathy, and doing both the seen and unseen work to help everyone succeed. Leaders hold themselves and others accountable, put in the extra time when needed, and support their team in reaching goals.
