2023 JUGGERNAUT TEAM SPORTS COMPETITION

  • On Saturday, 4 March, the Raptors of ND-20061 hosted the 11th Annual Juggernaut Team Sports Competition. Seven JROTC units from North Dakota, Minnesota, and South Dakota attended the competition held at Fargo South High School. The seven units represented were from Devils Lake, Fargo, Minot, Grand Forks, Johnson HS (St Paul), Harding Senior HS (St Paul), and Lincoln HS (Sioux Falls). The competition consisted of seven events: basketball, volleyball, flickerball, boccer, dodgeball, ultimate frisbee, and a team relay race. Other than the relay race, the sports competed in a double elimination tournament. The first place in each sport received individual medals and the overall team champion took home the Juggernaut Traveling Trophy to display with pride over the next year. The competition this year was dominated by Grand Forks who captured four 1st place finishes and two 2nd place finishes resulting in them repeating as the 2023 Juggernaut Champion. Harding High School took the Team Sportsmanship Award as selected by the referees.  A special thanks go out to the individuals from the NDSU AFROTC and the Fargo Air Force Recruiters for volunteering their time to referee the events.  The overall results of the competition are provided below:
