2020 JUGGERNAUT TEAM SPORTS COMPETITION
-
On Saturday, 7 March, the Raptors of ND-20061 hosted the 8th Annual Juggernaut Team Sports Competition. Six JROTC units from North Dakota and Minnesota attended the competition held at Fargo South High School. The six units represented were from Devils Lake, Fargo, Minot, Grand Forks, Harding (St Paul), and Johnson (St Paul). The competition consisted of seven events: basketball, volleyball, flickerball, soccer, dodgeball, ultimate frisbee, and a team relay race. Other than the relay race, the sports competed in a double elimination tournament. The first place in each sport received individual medals and the overall team champion took home the Juggernaut Traveling Trophy to display with pride over the next year. The competition was very spirited this year with all teams turning in good performances. The competition ended with Devils Lake winning the overall champion. Devils Lake also won the Team Sportsmanship Award as selected by the referees. A special thanks go out to the individuals from the NDSU AFROTC unit for volunteering their time to referee the events.
