STEP ONE - for all applicants:
Develop an online application using Applitrack . Each applicant for the Fargo Public Schools will need for their online file the following documents:
- Cover Letter
- Veteran's Preference (if applicable)
- ND applicants claiming ND Veteran's Preference must include their DD214
- ND applicants claiming ND Disabled Veteran's Preference must include their DD214 along with VA disability letter dated within 1 year of application
Additional Materials for specific positions:
Applicants for administrative, teaching, professional and other certified staff positions will need to attach:
- 3 Letters of Reference
- Complete transcripts for each degree from the institutions conferring the degrees
Teacher Applicants will need to attach:
- Current teaching license
STEP TWO - for all applicants:
Applitrack files and the reference checks are shared with principals or direct supervisors who may contact the applicants for interviews.
STEP THREE - for all applicants:
An applicant is recommended to the Director of Human Resources for a given position by the principal or direct supervisor.
STEP FOUR - for new employees:
The Director of Human Resources will recommend for hire all certified potential employees to the Superintendent and the Board of Education for employment. After the Board has approved the recommendations, the contract will be issued.
