Welcome to Davies High Theatre!
The Theatre is an excellent way to develop self-confidence, both on and off the stage. Theatre students develop life skills, such as collaboration, concentration and communication. Imaginations are invigorated by creating improvisations, short scenes, and video movies.
Public performances, reader's theater, costume design, stage make-up, sound, stage lighting, stage combat, and script writing and directing are all opportunities offered through:
Theatre Arts class (Grade 9 elective)
Performing Arts I (Grade 10-11 elective)
Performing Arts II (Grades 11-12 elective)
- Cabaret Night
- One-Act Play
- Dinner Theater
- SOAP: Student written and directed One-Act Plays
- Improvable Force Improv Troop
Is it that time of year...? If you think you have possibly lettered in Theatre at Davies High, you need to come in and visit with Saari sometime soon. We have a lettereing document for Davies High School that is easy to follow that you will need to fill out. Lettering is based on a point system that measures level of participation and time commitment in the program. Your points roll over from year to year. If you ahve already lettered in Theatre, you could still be eligible for another letter.
All lettering information needs to be turned into Saari by April 30th in order to be processed for awards.
Lettering Form (paper copy): The form may be picked up from Saari anytime.
Lettering Form link online: The form can be found on the Davies Theatre Website on the Parent Information Page.
Happy New Year! Mamma Mia! was a huge success and we are now on to the spring shows. There are several shows being performed in the second sememster so make sure to see where your child is involved. Our shows include "You Can't Take It With You', "The Insanity of Mary Girard", "Freak Flag", and "If It's Monday, This Must Be Murder!". Be sure to look for the casts lists and rehearsal schedules for all of these shows.
Also, be aware that the Fargo Area Theatre Festival will take place at North High School on March 4th & 5th.
We are excited for the next amazing productions to come from our talented kids!
