Career and College Readiness
For students enrolled in our GED or ELL classes, the FALC provides opportunities for students to develop the skills needed enter employment, training or post-secondary education.
ELL Basic Job Skills I: this class is designed for beginning English language learners to gain computer and employment literacy. No registration is needed for this class. Class meets Wednesdays from 12:30-2:30pm.
ELL Basic Job Skills II: this class is designed for intermediate-advance English language learners to gain computer literacy, develop a resume and prepare for interviews. Class meets Mondays from 12:30-2:30pm.
Computer Literacy: This class is offered to students referred through Workforce Safety and Insurance (WSI) or students enrolled in GED or ELL classes at the FALC. This class is designed to help student to obtain basic computer skills to assist them with employment or educational goals. Class meets Tuesdays from 12:30-2:30pm.
Pre-C.N.A.: this class is designed for English language learners and is offered as an introductory to the Certified Nurse Assistant training class. The Pre-C.N.A. class covers the vocabulary and terns that will be taught in the C.N.A. class and tested in the written portion state licensing exam. This class does not include review for the skills portion. Not certification is given for the Pre C.N.A. class. Class meets on Tuesdays from 1:30-2:30 pm.
Driver’s Literacy: this class is designed for English Language learners and is offered to help those students prepare to take the ND driver’s permit. There is no charge students enrolled in GED or ELL classes at the FALC. For students not enrolled at the ALC, the class fee is $30 for an 8 week session. Class meets on Tuesdays from 12:30-1:30pm.
