Fargo Public Schools currently serves over 1,300 students through the special education program. We have over 140 service providers to include teachers, speech/language pathologists, occupational and physical therapists, and school psychologists. As our city continues to expand, our district continues to grow as well. We have 16 elementary buildings, 3 middle schools and 4 high schools within our district boundaries.
Navigating through the special education process can be a daunting experience. Fargo Public Schools wants to support families through the process of educating children with disabilities. Contained within this webpage you will find links for quarterly Family Involvement Meetings, parent education regarding the IEP process, and community connections.
FARGO PUBLIC SCHOOLS will plan to hold a Family Educator Enhancement (FEET) meeting on January 28, 2019 beginning at 6:00 PM.
The previously scheduled December 17th, 2019 FEET meeting will be canceled.
This will no longer be a joint meeting with West Fargo Public School. The purpose of this meeting is to solicit input on the academics, behavioral supports, necessary professional development, and ways to build community for the future Explorer Academy at Lewis and Clark. The Explorer Academy at Lewis and Clark is a program that will provide Setting D services and was approved by the Fargo Board of Education at the November 26th, 2019 Board of Education meeting.
We look forward to meeting with parents, advocates, and community providers of Fargo Public Schools students. An agenda for the January 28th meeting will be provided in the near future.
Time: 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
Location: Fargo South High, Room C30, 1840 South 15th Avenue
