2020 Fall School StartUp Announcement - A breakfast and lunch meal is provided to all students daily at no cost due to the USDA’s extension of emergency feeding programs as the country continues to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. Free meals are temporary and will be provided through the 2020-2021 school year. Additional items served, such as second servings and a la carte items, are not included with the free meal program and funds will be required to make these purchases. Meals will require payment when the free meal program expires.

The Nutrition Services Department provides the breakfast and lunch program to all students of the Fargo Public Schools. As a part of the USDA program, nutritionally balanced meals are served to promote healthier eating. Free or reduced price meals are provided to any students that qualify, free milk is provided to free and reduced students in Kindergarten through grade 5 at milk break, and free breakfast is provided to all reduced price students.
The Nutrition Services Department has 125 employees that work at our 21 school kitchens or the Central Kitchen and District Office. Approximately 3,000 breakfasts and 9,500 lunches are served daily on school days.
