    Policy Review

    Each year, FPS administration conducts an Administrative Policy review. Administrative Policies are reviewed on a set rotation, ensuring all policies are reviewed once in a four-year cycle. Through this review process, some policies do not require any changes while other policies receive minor updates or more substantial updates. For the 2024 review cycle, administration has been reviewing this year’s set of policies during the school year.

    Dakota Family Literacy Course

    Dakota High School offers a Language Arts elective course called Family Literacy to teach young parents and/or high school students why literacy should start as early as possible. Anybody who has ever attended a North Dakota High School or Middle School All-State and/or Honor Ensemble concert can attest to the collaboration, professionalism, musicianship, skill, and joy displayed by the fine young musicians North Dakota produces each year.

    LRFP Community Engagement

    During this school year, Fargo Public Schools is working on updating its Long-Range Facility Plan. FPS has worked diligently to engage the public during this process, including creating a Steering Committee comprised of many FPS stakeholders with a vast array of differing voices and expertise. The Communications, Engagement, and Advocacy Committee of the Board of Education works to help facilitate this information to the community.
