STEP ONE - for all applicants:

Develop an online application using Applitrack which is located on the main Human Resources' page within this website. Each applicant for the Fargo Public Schools will need for their online file the following documents:

1. Three current letters of reference
2. A current resume

Additionally Teacher Applicants will need to scan into the Applitrack system:

1. A current teaching license
2. Complete transcripts for each degree from the institutions conferring the degrees


STEP TWO - for all applicants:

Applitrack files and the reference checks are shared with principals or direct supervisors who may contact the applicants for interviews.


STEP THREE - for all applicants:

An applicant is recommended to the Director of Human Resources for a given position by the principal or direct supervisor.


STEP FOUR - for all applicants:

Prior to beginning an assignment all potential employees will have a background check that is done through Advantage Credit.  This includes a fingerprint check (if this has not been done for licensure), a check with the National Sex Offender Registry, as well as a state and local criminal check.


STEP FIVE - for teaching applicants:

If you are a teaching candidate, the Director of Human Resources will then recommend to the Superintendent and the Board of Education the employment of the applicant.  After the Board has approved the recommendations, the contract will be issued.
