This is my first year teaching second grade at Kennedy! Previously I taught kindergarten for five years at McKinley. While I thoroughly enjoyed kindergartners, I am just as excited to have the opportunity to work with second graders. I can't wait to dive into reading, writing, and math with them! I love working with kids and being able to watch them grow and learn throughout the school year. I lived in the FM area for the majority of my childhood, moved to San Diego for a 2-year stint while my husband was in the Marines, and then returned back here. I attended MSUM and received a B.A. in Elementary Education with a specialty in pre-primary. In May 2013 I graduated with my master's degree in Differentiated Instruction from Concordia-St. Paul. I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Mr. Grande, for 15 years. We have 2 kids, Trevin who is 13 and Trissa who is 10. Our family has an adorable Lhasa-Maltese dog, Ellie, and two cats, Zoey and Roxy. The kids are involved with several extracurricular activities such as baseball, basketball, and dance so they keep us busy! In my spare time I enjoy reading, scrapbooking, spending time with friends, and sometimes even running. :-)
