This is my first year teaching second grade at Kennedy! Previously I taught kindergarten for five years at McKinley. While I thoroughly enjoyed kindergartners, I am just as excited to have the opportunity to work with second graders. I can't wait to dive into reading, writing, and math with them!  I love working with kids and being able to watch them grow and learn throughout the school year.  

I lived in the FM area for the majority of my childhood, moved to San Diego for a 2-year stint while my husband was in the Marines, and then returned back here. I attended MSUM and received a B.A. in Elementary Education with a specialty in pre-primary. In May 2013 I graduated with my master's degree in Differentiated Instruction from Concordia-St. Paul.  YAY!!
