1)  Q What if I want my child to attend a school other than the one in which boundaries we live?
A

You will need to file for a petition. The decision is made by the principal's at both the sending and the receiving school and is based on class size. If your petition is granted, you will be solely responsible for transportation to and from school. Please read the petition for more information.

4)  Q How do I register my child for kindergarten?
A

Kindergarten registration forms are available here.  Your child must turn 5 years old on or before July 31, 2014.

The following schools will be open during the following times:

Jefferson & Kennedy: June 2-27: 8:00am - 11am

Lincoln, Longfellow & Washington: June 9-26: 8:30am - 11:00am

Bennett, Centennial, Hawthorne, Jefferson, Kennedy, Lincoln, Longfellow & Washington: July 7-25: 8:00am - 12:00pm

If you need to register at a school that is not listed above, please go to the district office (415 N 4th St) Monday-Thursday 7:30am - 4:00pm or Friday 7:30am - 11:00am. 

In order to register, you will need a certified birth certificate, record of immunizations (if your child has received the 5 year shots; if not the immunizations can be sent to the school any time before school starts) and proof of residence (Utility bill or something that is sent to your house with your name and address on it)
